Today we told...

Today we told my family that we were exspecting. I also took some video of my mom went she found out...priceless...however I lost it!!

It's finally done

Back in August I decided I finally had it with my laundry room. When we bought the house the person who owned it before pained it a really light blue color, and then added wall paper. I have always disliked it, but it is my laundry room (obviously it is low on the priority list) Any way finally I decided I had it and I ripped down the wall paper. Two months later it is finally done. I think it turned out really cute!

News...

Today Jacob and I found out we are having another baby!

For a few days now...ok like a week. I have been telling Jacob that I was pregnant. He of course did not believe me, and would not let me take a test. He didn't want me to take a test because the only test we had on had is this really expensive electronic one. So after a while he finally said I could go buy a dollar store test just to prove I was wrong and we could move on. So yesterday I bought a test, and after the morning session of conference I decided to take it. Jacob was asleep and he heard me make a noise...he thought I was right so he woke up to politely rub it in (he did not say this, but I think that is what he was doing) Any way he was wrong, and I was right and now we are going to be a family of 4!! I am not sure of my due date, but I think I am due sometime in early June! We are so EXCITED!!

Monarch Butterflies

My mom is a huge butterfly lover. When I was little she had tons of butterfly's all around out house. For about a month now she has been telling us there was a Monarch butterfly exhibit at the botanical gardens, and we needed to take the kids out there. So today we did. It was nice. We did not know it was like the zoo, and you have to pay to get in to even see the exhibit, however the people were nice and helped us get in cheaper. Now I have a yearly pass and I can take a guest and however many children I want under the age of 18!

We had to hurry to get my dad back in enough time for the priesthood session so we rushed right to the butterfly part first. It was cool. Eli liked the butterfly's but sometimes got a little worried.

When you leave the exhibit there is a little stand where you can learn more about the butterflies. Read a cute story put some puzzles together and things like that. It was really nicely done. We stopped and looked at everything. Eli liked the hanging butterfly and Stephanie playing with the catipillar pupper. I enjoyed the book it was so cute. It was the story of how the butterfly fly to Mexico...Gotta Go, Gotta Go, I gotta go to Mexico.

Since we still had some time we went to look at some other things there since none of us have ever been there before. We went on the butterfly walk, and the humming bird trail. We had a wonderful time looking at all the wildflowers that grow here. We played with the kids and we tried to find how many different colors we could find. As we were walking Ethan found a huge Lizard, my mom says it is a Gila Monster, but I don't believe her! My mom also caught a lot of butterflies. She is really good at it. I guess she did it all the time when she was little. I now call her the butterfly chamer.

Feeding the Ducks

As you know Eli loves Ducks. He always goes after the one at my parents house, he loves to look and pet them in his books. So for a few weeks now I have thought it would be smart to go feed the ducks with Eli. It has been so hot lately that we have to wait for evening. By the time we ate dinner and got it together most nights it was already dark. Yesterday it was a little bit cooler, so I decided it was finally time to take Eli during the day. After the kids got home from school (by the way on there way home Steph and I attacked them with water ballons. We didn't get them very good, but we had a lot of fun.)

Eli kept looking at the ducks and saying Quack Quack Quack over and over again. These next three pictures crack me up because in the first he throws the bread to the duck then the second her turns to get some more. Then in the third he puts it in his mouth and eats it himself. I am lucky we took nice bread instead of bad bread!

After feeding the ducks we went over to the play ground to play for a little bit. Eli loves the slides so Aly helped him. I thought it would be smart to take an action shot. This first picture is at the top and the next is my actions shot...ha ha

Let's try that again...

Eli likes to climb up the slide like this and then slide down on his tummy...had to get a picture of that.

Then we moved over to the big slide!

Halloween is coming...Yippee

Halloween is almost here and so Jacob and I got excited about putting up our decorations. For FHE we decided that would be the little activity we did this week. It was a bonus because Steph and Jerel went to a concert so the kids came and stayed at our house. It was fun having them join us.

Here is the finished result....
