New York City Day One

Yesterday the boys and I flew in to NYC to spend a few days with my dear friend Davina and her sister Ashley. Since I wasn't sure if we could ever afford to bring the boys back we tried to fit as much as possible into our trip. One day one we started off by heading to the Museum of Natural history. One the plane ride from AZ I let them watch the movie so Eli and Liam were pretty excited about this place. Right now they have a huge spider exhibit so the entrance had this really cool big spider. Once we got inside we started at the planetarium portion. Eli really like the videos of "outer pace" and we also put him on a scale to find out that if we lived on Mars Eli would only weight 14lbs! Liam wouldn't get on the scale so we didn't really get to learn that about him. We also sent daddy a cool video of Eli and Liam on a space adventure. Our next stop in the museum was the Dinosaurs. We spent about an hour or so walking through time checking out all the cool bones. The boys really liked it but after a while they have a enough of the bones. Our last stop was where the giant blue whale was. I remember when Jacob and I were dating we went and saw it and to this day we still talk about how cool it is. Eli and Liam liked it but they were more impressed with the smaller fish exhibit then the giant whale!

After the museum we grabbed a quick bite to eat and then quickly headed to the Children's Museum of Manhattan. We go to the phoenix one a lot and my boys just love it. So we figured we should check out New York's. They had some cool activities which the boys really loved. They enjoyed the farming section and the fire station part. We played there until about 5 pm and then we headed out for dinner at Davina's friends house. She was a mother who just has a baby and invited us over for some authentic eastern Indian food. We had such a wonderful time visiting with everyone and getting to know some new friends. Our frist day in New York was busy but so much fun!
