3 Years Ago Today...

Three years ago today I married the sweetest, kindest, funniest, smartest, cutest, and sexiest stud muffin of a man! Yup that is right we have been married for three years already. CRAZY!! This anniversary really snuck up on us and we were just going to take it easy this year, and then at the last second Jacob talked me into going and staying the night at a hotel in Scottsdale. This was a hard thing for him to talk me into since it was last minute, I am still nursing Eli and obviously we had NOTHING planned. Within 30 minutes we had everything packed, dinner reservations, hotel booked and dropped Eli off at the babysitters (aka the Gilmores).

Jacob booked a room at the Phoenician which I was really excited about because I went there once and it was really nice plus I heard they had an amazing Sunday Brunch. Everything seemed to go off with out a hitch until we arrived at the hotel and realized I left my wallet in the diaper bag and we pushed back our dinner reservation and drove ALL the way back to get my wallet. By the time we got back to the hotel it was 9 pm and we checked in and headed to the restaurant. They were running late and we were starving so we decided to have room service instead. Which turned out to be a great idea! Jacob and I ordered the Kobe Burgers, as well as some desert. Jacob got cheese cake, and I got creme brulee...YUMMY. The dinner was delicious!

The next morning Jacob was so kind to let me sleep in since this was my first time not haveing baby duty in 10 + months. It was funny because Jacob woke up at 5:30 and woke me up. I know he was trying to be quiet but there is only so much you can do in a hotel room. I said Jacob honey you are waking me up earlier then Eli does. So he got up and wandered the hotel for 2 hours!! When he came back we got dressed and went to brunch. This dinner was so yummy too, we had so much food and it was delicious. It was funny because we ordered the buffet, and the normal brunch. I know I know tons of food, but we just basically tried everything, but didn't eat it all. It was fun. Jacob even tried the Salmon thing (he always like to try new things) however he hated it and I swear for a second there I thought he was going to throw up! After Brunch we walked around the hotel then checked out. I needed to get back to Eli because I really really needed to feed him if you know what I mean. Overall I loved this trip and we had so much fun.

Things I want to remember...
1. How much fun we had together one on one. It was nice to be able to focus 100% on each other.
2. Eating dinner in the room late and night. I felt like a teenager laughing and having a great time with my best friend. We really enjoyed ourselves and got to talk, and laugh a lot.
3. How far our room was away. This was funny because I seriously felt like we had to hike back to our room. I am not kidding when we say we are the farthest room away!
4. That even though I stress we can and should do things like this more often.
5. We don't have any pictures of the weekend because I left that in the diaper bag too, and there was no way we were going to go back again.
6. Jacob is a stud and I am so lucky to be his wife and go on adventures with him forever.

Eli really enjoyed the Gilmore's. He was instantly a part of the family, but he still loves his mom and dad a lot. At the end when we picked up Eli he was very excited to see us. It was really cute because he really wanted to make sure when we went out the door that he was going with us. Thanks to the Gilmore's for helping make this trip possible.

Oh yeah tonight I also cut Eli's hair. I think it turned out pretty good. He is asleep now so I will post pictures later.

Things Jacob wants to remember...(written by Jacob)

1. What a sweet and an amazing wife I have.
2. Even though we love Eli, how much fun Stacy and I have together when it is just us and we are able to focus 100% on each other without the distractions of work and our other responsibilities.
3. The amazing meal we had that night eating our Kobe beef burgers which were delicious even though Stacy insists that they were not good enough for the cow to suffer like they do for it.
4. How I was able to entertain myself for the 2 hours around the hotel by myself so Stacy could get a good night sleep, which she is not accustomed to getting very often.
