His parents put together a little gathering for family and friends to come support him. I got a few shots of the big night!

We're Moving

Lately I feel like we are full of huge news! Our latest news is that we sold our Riata house. I am sure this is a shock so let me rewind a little bit. From the day we put in an offer on this home Jacob and I knew we wanted to do some updating, add some rooms and other little things here and there. Recently we have felt it was time to start getting our ducks in a row and figure out what exactly we wanted to do. We contacted contractors and got some quotes for what we wanted. We always knew it was going to be expensive, but after hearing the actual total it made the wheels in our head start turning. After all we still had concerns about this home (size, AC bill , not 3 car garage, etc etc...) We started thinking well maybe we could sale it make a little money and then build another home that would be 100% what we want and it be a little cheaper. After doing some research we decided to get the home ready to sale. We placed it on the market and while we were in Hawaii we received an offer we both felt good about. Although I am sad to be selling my childhood home. We both feel very good and excited about our decision.

Slip n' sliden

Jacob for the longest time has been trying to convince me that we need to buy this giant tarp so we can make it a slip n' slide. I have been against the idea because I just pictured this big black tarp in our backyard and us looking pretty white trash the whole summer while it sits there. Jacob later informed me that the tarp would be picked up and rolled up after each use. I didn't realize that could be done so I finally gave in and Jacob bought the tarp. Can I please just say I should have listened to him years ago! Eli and Jacob had so much fun playing on this thing. They run around and just have a wonderful time. Liam isn't that into he likes to sit on my lap and watch but occasionally he will get up and run through it too. Marley loves it because Jacob will throw him a ball in between throwing Eli down the tarp. Everyone loves it and we have so much fun out there. I should have listened to Jacob a long time ago!!

Hawaii Get Away

Since we found out we have another little one on the way. Jacob thought we should take a few vacations or getaways just us before the baby comes. I thought that was a great idea and since I have been so sick I figured it was a good time to getaway anyways.Linda (Jacob's mother) was kind enough to take our boys so we could get away. Our first trip was to Hawaii since we were married here and have great memories it's kind of like or go to place. We had a great time eating, relaxing and just enjoying beautiful Hawaii. The only bummer was that I was so or still getting over my sickness that we didn't get to do too much stuff. We mainly relaxed which is always nice.
Main highlights of our trip were:
  • Drinking all the pina coldas we wanted...which actually were only a few. For some reason we didn't crave them as much as we usually do.
  • We ate at this burger place and Jacob ordered this burger called the Pounder. It was HUGE. When they brought it out they ran on this bells and stuff and then random people came up and started taking pictures of us. It was cool to see how big it was, but the burger itself was actually pretty gross. However we did make an awesome memory.
  • Jacob introduced me to the funny little fruit covered with spikes. If you peal off the spikes it's actually pretty good. It was called a Robutan.
  • We stopped by turtle beach on day to get some pictures with turtles. I was worried Eli was having too much fun at his grandma's so I thought this picture with me and turtles would help me look cool.
  • We got yummy icees when ever we wanted. I realized Jacob and I are shaved ice type of people.
  • On one of our days we went shopping and this guy was standing on the sidewalk with no shirt on and he whispers to Jacob looking for weed? I was cracking up when Jacob told me. I thought it was funny that guy thought Jacob was the "type" who would be interested.

All and all it was a wonderful trip and we enjoyed ourselves very much. However we were so happy to get home to our boys and they were so happy to have us back!

This time around

This pregnancy I honestly thinking I am dying. Okay Okay it isn't that bad but geeze I am so much sicker this time around. Any little smell or thought or just being will either send me into a dry heaving frenzy or throwing up frenzy. I must say that when I throw up that is much less painful so I do prefer that route, but more often then not it's the very painful dry heaving. I honestly swear a few times my stomach has done flips from squeezing so hard!

Eli is funny and sometimes he will ask, "Mom, are you throwing up? Or drying heaving?" He likes to come look. At first the boys looked pretty concerned now they are so used to it that it seems like everyday normal behavior. I go to the Dr. tomorrow before we leave for Hawaii. I am hoping he will put me on some nice drugs so our trip isn't too bad and I find some relief. Everyone around me is convinced it's a little girl because I am so much sicker.
