8 months

Liam is now 8 months old and it is crazy to think that this little man has been in with us for 8 months. He is growing so much. I would say his height is pretty average (a little above average I guess) but he has really really long legs. Right now he is wearing pants that are for 12 to 18 months! However he can still fit in 6 months onesies although they are starting to get pretty snug. Liam is still 100% a Momma's boy! I would say he is sleeping through the night except when he is sick and sometimes he gets hungry around 6 am so I have to get up and feed him but he goes right back to sleep. Liam is now sleeping with a pillow I noticed when he is tired he grabs things like they are pillows so I figured he wanted one. Eli didn't do this until he was like 18 months or so.

Things I want to remember or things of note:
  • Liam is an official crawler at about 7 1/2 months. He army crawled for about 2 weeks and then when half army half knees for about a week and now it is all knees. It was funny because my mom said he was so good at army crawling that she thought he would never crawl and then the very next day he started to crawl!
  • When I leave for boot camp Liam hates it and usually gives his baby sitter and run for their money. When I get home he has this total look of relief and when I hold him he will just look up and stare at me for a few minutes and give the biggest smile and then kiss my lips. Then he finishes up with laying his head on my left shoulder with the biggest happiest hug and sigh. It really is one of the cutest things!
  • Liam LOVES Eli. He thinks Eli is so funny. They play together a lot already and they actually already wrestle. Liam likes it about 85% of the time and then other times he doesn't want to be touched. Eli is the same way...I guess we are all like that.
  • Liam eats a lot of foods. He likes Bananas, kiwi's, yogurt, peas, pears, smashed apples, crackers, fruit leathers and anything on our plates that he can take from us. He also has stolen a strawberry, muffins, muffins with nuts in them and all sorts of food.
  • Liam currently has 5 teeth. He just cut 3 of them. He has two on top and 3 on bottom and the top two were very painful to cut and took him a VERY long time. At one point they looked so painful it looked like he had a blister on his gum's. It was very sad.
  • Eli and Liam both had there first ear infections this week. It was so sad to hear they had it but I was lucky and caught it pretty early.
  • Liam pulls himself up to standing position all the time, but then a few minutes or seconds later you hear him screaming because he doesn't know how to get down, so I have to come a save him. He has walked around one piece of furniture, but I think we still have a good amount of time before he starts walking.
  • Liam can be a challenge sometimes because he likes to be held so much but he is really well behaved when I leave and go places. He likes the park, mall or basically anywhere he goes with me. He likes being out of the house a lot. I can say he is much easier out of the house then at home.
  • Liam is just starting to watch TV he likes things with bright colors but only watches for may be two minutes.

Puppy Rabbit

Debbie told us that he cousin Janice was giving away baby Bunny rabbits. I thought that would be a nice pet for Eli to have so Jacob and I decided it couldn't hurt to just go look at them. On out way down there we were talking to Eli about pets and asked him if he would rather have a Bunny Rabbit or a Puppy to which he replied, "I want a PUPPY RABBIT!".

Eli loved the Bunny Rabbits he would hold them so cute and then out of now where they would jump out of his arms! Eli even now whenever we talk about it or sometimes just randomly he will go up to people and say, "The puppy rabbit ran away!"

MLK Day

One of the great bonus' to Jacob's job is whenever there is a national holiday he doesn't have work! Basically if the banks are closed so is Jacob's office! Well the banks were closed today and so we took full advantage of having our daddy home with us. We started off the day by heading to the Zoo. We took Aly, Ethan and Austin with us. When we got there I saw that they had this slide open that they were building the last time I was there. I really wanted to try it so I told Jacob we were doing it. The wind was quickly taken out of my sails because they said Eli was too little to do it and he couldn't go down on my lap. I decided to stay out and everyone else did it but Eli, Liam and myself. They all said it was fun, and I think the pictures show that.

After the slide I let Eli ride the carousel so he could do something fun. He loved it. When then moved on to check out the animals. As we were walking to see the Koalas we were hearing this really Funny noise. We soon found out it was these monkey's they were jumping around every where and making so much noise. We stayed and watched them for a while. I have never heard anything like that before

At the end of the trip we stopped to feed the sting rays. Liam was asleep so I stayed out and waited for everyone else. They stayed for a long time and I wondered what the heck they were doing. When they finally came out they told me that people gave them their left over food so they were feeding the rays. Eli even did it! Jacob said he loved it and all the kids had a lot of fun!

Bigger

Liam just keeps getting bigger and bigger. One of his favorite things to do right now is sit in his chair and eat things like crackers, bannanas, and any other little scraps we send his way. He gets the most excited when he sees it is something directly off of our plate.

Big Day Out

Today the boys and I had a big day out. It started with a trip to the park to hang with four other mom's and their little ones. We had a blast running in the grass and playing on the playground. A lot of the kids are really close to the same age so there were some little scwabbles here and there and so Eli decided he was ready to go home.

When we got home he still wanted to be outside, and Liam and I were loving it too so we decided to go on another little adventure. We had so much fun just walking around the neighborhood and playing.

New Wedding = Old Memories

So today I went to my dear friend Sharisa's wedding to her new husband Rex. I have to say I enjoyed Sharisa's wedding so much for so many reasons. It made me so happy to see my friend become so happy, but I also loved it because it reminded me a lot of when Jacob and I got married. It was a beautiful ceremony and they both looked so happy!

Happy new Bride and Groom

This is her new family! SO CUTE!

Sit, crawl, Stand

These are just a few of the tricks Liam's up to lately!

That's right he can now sit up on his own, crawl around a room, and he is standing...oh this little boy he's a mover!! Oh yeah and the top picture Eli took...his skills have greatly improved.

Funny Dress up

Currently Liam needs some pants but I am picky and I can't find some I like for a good price so today I found a temporary solution to my problem!

Yep Liam is wearing my socks and pants...hey whatever works!
