Weekend events

The last week has been pretty slow for us. Nothing to exciting to report, but we did have a wonderful weekend. It started out with a relaxing Friday night at home. We got our favorite cheap Mexican food place and watch some shows. Then Saturday morning Jacob woke up early to this....

He came in and told me we got toilet papered. I laughed...I guess I just couldn't believe it. Then Jacob asked me who I thought did it and I told him it was my Mia maids for sure. Come to find out I was right!! They also go a family across the street and their son caught them. I of course gave my girls a hard time about it at church. The funny thing is two leaders were there with them...just helping the girls out!

Well since Jacob was already working in the yard we worked really hard on cleaning up the inside and outside of our house. We were done around 11 so we thought it would be fun to get in our pool. We went to Wal-mart and bought floaty things. This is funny to me because we have lived in this house for almost two years and this was our 1st time buying anything for our pool! It was also funny because when we got home we realized we bought 3 floaty things instead of two!! We both thought we were helping the other person and we didn't even realize we were caring too many until we got home to blow them up. We floated around for about an hour or so. It was pretty cold but refreshing at the same time. After swimming we went to look at some houses Jacob has been showing people then out on a date with Wayne and his wife Rachel. We had a lot of fun with them.

Sunday was also a wonderful day. We went to church and like I said teased everyone that toilet papered our house. Then Jacob watched the Suns game (they won...yippee) with Wayne while I took a nap. After our nap we grilled Asparagus for dinner then headed to his parents house for dinner. Daniel and Tat were in town so we all got together for a very yummy meal. After dinner everyone rode the Segway and then we went to see Tressa's new house. We loved it. I should have gotten pictures of the backyard it has everything you could think of!

Once we got home. This is what I found at our front door.

It a little treat from two of my Mia Maids it said:

The Bun in the Oven Award

This award is for being the most fun spiritual, beautiful, pregnant awesome, loving and most amazing leader & friend in the world. And soon to be most excellent mother!

Aren't my girls so cute? I just love them!!! I am so grateful for the cookies, but I am so concerned about all the treats in the house because when I found the cookies I was carrying this...

Kellen Hubard (Chase's best friend) is currently working on his Eagle project. In order to help raise money they were selling these yummy rolls that Kellen's mother makes. Oh my goodness these are such a treat! They are only $20 and you can write off the whole purchase! If you are interested in some let me know!

Random Happenings...

Well nothing to exciting has been going on recently, but we have had some fun moments here and there. Here are a few we got pictures of...

Every year we have these two ducks that come and live in our neighborhood. The first time we ran into them was about 2 years ago when I brought Buddy over to spend the afternoon. Normally Buddy gets out of the car and runs to the front door. Well this time he jumped out of the car and started running down the street. The next thing I see is a duck flying really low and Buddy right on his tail. It was hilarious because they went up and down the street like three times. I still giggle when I picture them. Lately we have been finding them in our pool and our front yard.

These pictures were taken by Jacob. He woke up one morning and heard something going on in our backyard. He looked out the window and saw the ducks having a great time in our pool. From what Jacob saw they must be a couple. (wink wink)

For Easter my mom got Jacob this pot and planted Tomatoes in it. This is my first attempt to keep anything alive other then myself. So far things are going well, but I am already frustrated because it is taking to long to get tomatoes!
Jacob's brother Adam came into town for a day so we went to the Ash's to visit. While we were there Linda said she would cut Jacob's hair. Well Adam insisted that he could do a better job. Here is Jacob being his sweet trusting self letting Adam cut his hair. It was funny because while he was cutting Jacob's hair Adam said this is harder then it looks! I think at that point Jacob got nervous.

Cecil is running for State legislature and right now they are working on getting $5 donations. This requires a lot of door to door work by Linda and Cecil. Obviously this task is getting more and more difficult as the weather is getting hotter so Cecil came up with a solution to this problem. He bought his own Segway.

Of course we all had to take our turn on the Segway. Jacob is very good at it and has so much fun. He like to make Gob jokes from Arrested Development. Cecil keeps reminding Jacob that the Segway is not a toy. I keep reminding them that it is a very expensive toy.

Obviously I had to take a turn. I was nervous because everything is off of your balance and weight so being pregnant can obviously throw things off. Well after I get on and start riding down the street. Jacob hears Adam say something like "I can't believe she is riding that" or " She really shouldn't be riding that." Adam is a doctor so Jacob quickly got me off, but also pointed out that Adam helped me get on it!!!

Batman's home!

On Thursday night after volleyball I rushed to my parents house so we could drive to the airport together. My cousin TJ was flying in from serving an amazing two year mission in Russia. TJ was one of my best friends when we were little. I would go up to his house in Snowflake and stay there pretty much all summer. I titled this post Batman's home because when we were little TJ was ALWAYS Batman. I would be Cat woman and we always had someone he had to save. TJ was such an amazing kid and has turned into an even more amazing man. I am so proud of him for all the hard work he did in Russia.

TJ is such a funny guy. When we first saw him he was wearing this hat. At first I didn't see it was a hat and I thought it was his hair...I kept thinking they don't let them grow their hair out on their mission. Then I realized it was a hat and I started cracking up.

Here is a picture of him hugging his mom Kathy. Kathy is my mom's sister and I love her so much. I always get so excited when my mom says she is in town. When we were little she would make me breakfast, she makes the best French Toast EVER. I love this picture when I was watching this I almost started crying...what an amazing moment for a mother.

Here is the whole Hatch family. I can not believe how grown up they all were. I guess I expected them all to be 5 years old still or something like that.

This is TJ's grandpa Hatch. It is amazing how much TJ looks like his grandpa. I remember thinking this even when I was little.

I could go on and on about all the memories I have with TJ. He is so awesome! I think every parents dreams their son will turn out just like TJ. He is on his way to doing so many amazing things!! TJ we are all so proud of you and love you so much.

p.s I think the hormones finally got the best of me because the whole time writing this I was crying....good thing no one came into the office.
